I earned my degree in Industrial Design from California College of Art in San Francisco,CA and studied under Aura Oslapas (IDEO), Steven J. Holt (FROGDESIGN) and Masamichi Udagawa (ANTENNADESIGN). I also have a Bachelors degree in Intellectual History from Willamette University which provides insights into how professional and pop cultures generate – regulate; language, behavior and (self) image. Applications @ “design thinking”

For more than 25 years, I have built furniture in diverse but mostly natural materials of: wood, metal, stone/concrete, glass, plastics and with embedded electric-electronic components. My main competence has been in wood products design and production.

This spring 2014, I received a certification in CAD Cobalt + 3D printing as well as attended the Blickfang Workshop ’14 in Boisbuchet, FR.

In 2012, I created my home products collection which includes: tables, chairs, stools, benches, beds, storage – shelving systems and kitchen tools.

Located in Bern, Switzerland, I work on a project basis to: design, develop and build objects/furniture/prototypes/exhibit pieces with clients. I also produce my editions furniture from the collection.

Production of single pieces and prototypes is done in the workshop of Andreas Pfister Moebelschreinerei in Breitenrain-Bern. I do my product design prototyping at FabLab-Bern including: 3D printing, Lasercut and small machining works.

As an independent designer/craftsman, I enjoy flexible work partnerships for product development with individuals and on teams to solve your challenges. For instance project work with: architects, designers and producers.
